Nantucket Creative Reuse provides a space where members of the community can donate and shop for used supplies and materials to be repurposed, in an effort to minimize waste brought to the landfill as well as foster creativity.
Started in 2020 after the success of two pop-up events hosted at Nantucket Atheneum and inspiration from other established creative reuse centers including SCRAP, Austin Creative Reuse and Seattle Recreative, the Nantucket Creative Reuse was born.
Our vision is to encourage sharing and repurposing within the community and minimize waste at the landfill, while also acting as a safe space for people to gather [COVID-pending] and create.
Nantucket Creative Reuse is owned and operated by Emma Young. Emma is a maker, artist, and craft enthusiast from Nantucket. She is passionate about sustainability, encouraging creativity, gathering with like minded souls, and finds garbage & human behavior fascinating.
